The Mechatronics program was made possible through a $600,000 grant provided by The California Community College Chancellors Office matched by $600,000 in industry donations. Working with an advisory committee of local employers, faculty researched similar academic programs, wrote new truly integrated Mechatronics curriculum, arranged student internships and purchased state-of-the-art Mechatronics training equipment for the new laboratory.
